The Equus Effect Apprenticeship

For Students who appear to be a good fit for The Equus Effect Curriculum Delivery

Trainees will be guided through the Equus Effect Program and Curriculum from its foundational concepts to its precise delivery. Utilizing both didactic and experiential learning, trainee teams will be able to hone the skills and applications of this work directly with real-time veteran and recovery populations, all with the direct oversight of the program creators and active staff.

As a graduate, you will be able to:

• Build and foster resonance between your horses and incoming trauma populations

• Ground your team/participants in their bodies to promote cohesive herd connection

• Facilitate relational collaboration through trauma sensitive natural horsemanship

• Demonstrate and teach the emotional agility practicum and reinforce learning in the round pen through real time exercises with the horses

  – Facilitate ‘lessons learned’ from this material in the round pen or arena where any and all of the emotions described in the emotional agility material can emerge and be handled in more effective ways

  – Promote resilience through five simple and practical take-home-tools for integration into life “off the farm”

• Construct and share your facility design with informed logistical solutions from our staff

• Connect with your local VA systems, Treatment Centers and complementary agencies via “warm-hand off” through our network contacts and satellite facilities

• Get your program up and running with the ongoing support of our emerging community
