Take back your ATTENTION – Reclaim your ENERGY
Energy ALWAYS follows attention. With more demands and more overload on our nervous systems, it is crucial to develop skillful means to handle it all. Whether we want to get more done or get more out of what we are doing, there is no clearer path than spending our attention and energy more wisely. It’s definitely an inside job.
And, there are few things that get us there more quickly than working directly with another sentient being who is ALWAYS present. Horses are free from the distractions and demands that seem to define our lives because it’s in their DNA.
I could see the relevance right away. Within 15 minutes of working with that horse in the round pen, I saw how I lead by compensating for uncertainty with control. It just went on and on from there. The parallels were uncanny. ML/CEO
As things got more challenging, I realized how much this was like managing my team through change. Maintaining flexibility and fluidity despite the resistance from certain people was like navigating those obstacles. Clear about the goal but course correcting along the way. It was unbelievably relevant to my role as a leader. JD/VP
We use horses’ keen awareness to point us toward more attention to where we are and what matters right.
They are great barometers who gauge how present we are in real time ~ and happy to bring us back when we’re not.
